Larek James is an independent music project built around emotional pop and the experiences that shape our lives.
The project began with songs I wrote for my wife. She kept telling me they shouldn’t stay private—that other people might hear themselves in them, feel understood, and feel a little less alone. Eventually, I listened. Now, we work together to make the songs the best they can be, sharing ideas, challenging each other, and shaping each one as it develops.
Every song begins with something worth putting into words—a feeling, a story, a conversation, a mistake, a memory, or a moment you don’t want to lose. Larek James is where those ideas become records, combining heartfelt songwriting, memorable melodies, warm expressive vocals, and cinematic contemporary production.
The project has evolved with each release, growing through collaborations with independent producers and musicians.
The songs live in the space between what happens to us and what we carry forward: falling in love, getting things wrong, holding on, letting go, finding strength, and trying to say the things that matter while there’s still time.
